Boujad Rug – İrem
Welcome Irem whose name means garden in heaven. She is filled with incredibly detailed tribal motifs and one in particular is a small henna design that would be hennaed onto a bride’s foot before she is married. The symbology of this rug makes her a wedding piece that would be gifted to a bride before her wedding. The length and detailed beauty of her make her a story of tribal life from love and marriage through to fertility and life within the Boujad region. Her colours range from pops of deep pink through to earthy browns, lines of white, yellows, and a border of triangle motifs. She will offer you constant surprises with her intricate designs.
A very long runner rug, she can be a centre piece under your table or used as a runner down your hall to greet all who enter your home.
